Salak, 2015
Ceramic. Wood kiln
Edition of 1

Domaine de Boisbuchet, France

From idea to object, and from there to the kiln, the flame and ash plays an important role on the skin of a water vase named Salak due to its similar appearance to the snake fruit. The color shades of brown on the vase surface were obtained through a wood-kiln red process of uncontrolled heat . Created in collaboration with Fred Herbst, CMOG ceramist during Boisbuschet ceramic workshop.
